A Changing Landscape: Management Expectations of the Multi-Disciplinary IRO – Going Beyond Simply an Increase in Valuation
LocationIl Fornaio - Denver Tech Center
Program Details:
With more than 20 years of focus and dedication to the IR profession and her C-suite client management teams, Smooch Repovich Reynolds has become known for her wisdom, insightfulness, and candor in advising talent and executive decision-makers about how to leverage the IRO as an influencer and key partner... not to mention that through her executive search advisory work with companies ranging from pre-IPO start-ups to the Fortune 100, she has increased the valuation of her client portfolio by more than $500B!
Smooch will tap her diverse background to help Investor Relations professionals and other executives at this event to better read the tea leaves about the intentions of management, and how IROs can navigate the partnership with their CEOs and CFOs to maximize the value of this critical executive triumvirate. Gone are the days where corporate protocol defines how an IRO navigates their additive value, their ability to partner across an enterprise, and ultimately their ability to serve as an internal "psychological business partner" with management.
Smooch will talk about how IROs can look at things differently, and use a different set of metrics by which to gauge their value inside an organization. "The wisdom factor" is huge for IROs," she says. "And in this role, IROs should be leveraging the wisdom with the CFO, the CEO and key board members alike to help the entire organization understand the nuances of the Street and how it can affect the perception of the organization. That will increase their value and create a stronger position in the event of unforeseen circumstances that all management teams would like to prevent."
Speaker:
Smooch Repovich Reynolds
Smooch Repovich Reynolds serves as managing partner of the global Investor Relations and Communications Practice Group at DHR International, a global executive search firm. Ms. Reynolds' expertise is highly focused in the investor relations/finance communications and brand marketing professions. Previously, Ms. Reynolds was the senior vice president/CCO at The Irving Company, where she was responsible for redefining the communications function. Before that, she served as the founder and CEO of the Repovich-Reynolds Group, a retained search and management consulting firm specializing in the investor relations, communications and marketing functions throughout North America.
